The course applies to individuals working in various care and support roles in the community and health services industry who wish to develop skills in understanding and supporting people with managing their diabetes.

Assessments conducted during the face-to-face training session(s) include: 

• Performance task – Recognise and manage a casualty with low blood glucose levels

• Theory assessment – A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions
