Overview
At Queen of Hearts Training, we deliver nationally recognised training Course Set - HLTAAP001 – Recognise Healthy Body Systems & HLTHPS006 – Assist Clients With Medication for NDIS providers, aged care, and community care teams across the Sunshine Coast – from Gympie to Caloundra, including Noosa and the Hinterland.
This combined course is designed for aged care workers, disability support workers, community care staff, personal care workers, and respite carers who support clients with medication. It equips participants with the essential skills to safely assist with medication self-administration while understanding how medications interact with the body, ensuring safe, informed, and compliant care.
Participants will develop knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to better interpret client health information, recognise changes in condition, and promote healthy body functioning. The course also covers safe medication practices, documentation, and compliance with current legislation, workplace procedures, and NDIS Practice Standards.
Students will gain an understanding of medication types, administration methods, and commonly used medications, including both prescribed and over-the-counter. Practical training includes assisting with multiple forms of medication and completing accurate medication documentation in line with industry requirements.
